The
Maine Arts Commission contracted, through the Per Cent for Art Program,
for the architectural metalwork at Maranacook Middle School, executed
by Tamar Etingen. Four columns (H 144” x Diam. 18”) in the
Cafeteria / Performance space and one column in the Reception Area, received
decorative metalwork on the top 3’. The metalwork consisted of
over 500 individual pieces of brass, copper and silver riveted to anodized
aluminum column surrounds.
